Two years on from Mahsa/Jina Amini’s death in Iran and the Taliban’s ban on women’s education in Afghanistan, women in both countries continue to fight for their rights. At #OYW23, our Counsellors Nazanin Boniadi, Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, Hasina Safi, and Marzieh Hamidi spoke about living with gender apartheid in Afghanistan and Iran and the impact of denying women their basic rights and freedoms. They urged the global community to show solidarity and continue to raise their voices against injustice - every one of us has a role to play.

We urge you to show solidarity with women, not only in Afghanistan and Iran but anywhere in the world where their rights are held hostage by governments and society.
