Learning how to inspect your new bee hive or your bees that survived over the winter is so important. A bee inspection should include observing the honey and pollen that bees are storing in the hive. A hive inspection should also include evaluating how well the queen is laying eggs. Is there plenty of larvae and capped over brood? What does the brood pattern look like on the brood frames in the hive. It's also important to ensure your bees have a bright future by checking for varroa mites and other problems. And you always want to make sure your new bees are not going to swarm.
