1) In baseball, whenever there's a fly ball hit, there's something called pop fly priority on the field. This is basically a ranking of authority on the field.

2) Whenever there's a ball hit to the outfield, there's always an infielder who is a relay man, or cut-off player to relay the ball into the base where it's going.
