Following the roundtable on post-conflict constitutional arrangements for Sudan that was jointly convened by International IDEA and AACL in Kampala, Uganda, between 11 and 13 December 2023, AACL commissioned two correlated options papers on post-conflict constitutional and power-sharing arrangements to be presented to, debated among, and validated by, Sudanese experts, including political actors, academics, civil society representatives and civic activists. The options papers have been designed to be practical documents which help to analyse the situation and evaluate possible policy responses, in light of relevant regional experiences.

During the webinar, the authors of the papers presented their respective findings and suggestions briefly, followed by a round of Q&A and a roundtable discussion among the Sudanese participants, who were invited to provide their comments on the findings and suggestions.
