7 Characteristics that make a Pearson Triton a great Small Ocean Passage Maker for Solo Sailing - Project Triton Ep2

I bought a 1963 Pearson Triton as a project that will hopefully result in providing me with a great sailboat to liveaboard and use as an ocean passage maker.

This is part 2 of Project Triton, my journal of refitting a 1963 Pearson Triton sailboat for liveaboard and cruising.

The Pearson Triton was designed by Carl Alberg at the request for a 28-foot sailboat that sleeps four. It became one of the first fiberglass auxillary sailboats built in the United States. The Triton is a recreational keelboat, built predominantly of fiberglass. The design was inspired by the lines of the traditional Scandinavian Folkboat. It has a spooned raked stem, a raised transom, a keel-mounted rudder controlled by a tiller and a fixed long keel.

The Triton 28 has made at least two circumnavigations and several other Atlantic and Pacific crossings.
