For my view distance in dayz;
Go to My Documents, open up DayZ, you will find a "DAYZPROFILE File" with your PC name on it, Open that, scroll down to these settings and change them to what i have below for maximum distance :)

sceneComplexity=1000000;
shadowZDistance=250;
viewDistance=3800;
preferredObjectViewDistance=3200;

You can tinker with these, i just leave them at this.
