Our Tesla Model Y seems to constantly get windshield chips, and while on our road trip to Florida, sure enough we got 2 more chips. Now the good thing is that these windshield chips on our Model Y can be filled by Safelite.

The bad news here is that while driving our Tesla Model Y around the Tampa area, we got some damage to the car. Unfortunately while traveling down a 55 MPH road, something appeared in the road without any time to react.

Somehow a large tree limb was present in the middle of a 3 lane highway and I just so happened to be the lucky one to hit said tree branch. This tree limb catapulted at 60 MPH towards the rear door on our Model Y and did some proper damage.

Fortunately we wrapped our entire Tesla Model Y in PPF, which means that the damage done to the car was limited to a significant dent. Had we not had PPF on the Model Y, this tree would have done way more damage.

While I work on options to get this dent fixed, I am confident this PPF barrier saved me thousands of dollars in paint repair. When the damage is fixed, I may not even have to replace the PPF, as it held up exceptionally well.

Seriously consider PPF for your Tesla, and consider doing it yourself! You can save literally thousands and still get the same protection.
