Trump ally Kari Lake, the Republican candidate for Arizona governor in the US midterms, says Donald Trump shouldn't have to run again to become president, because his election was stolen.

Early in her campaign, Lake won Trump's endorsement by placing herself on the conservative wing of the Republican party, and more importantly, by claiming the 2020 election was stolen, although there has been no evidence that it was.

Ms Lake spoke to the BBC's Katty Kay ahead of the elections earlier this month.
