This shows the process of performing a drain and fill of a 2007 Ford Focus manual transmission. Very simple process that I hope a visual representation will assist anyone with doing themselves.

2007 Ford Focus Requires 2 quarts of Motorcraft XT-M5-QS transmission fluid. Check your owners manual or contact your local dealer to verify your year's fluid type and capacity. I was not been able to find a suitable(and cheaper) alternative for the Motorcraft fluid. Seems for this particular case, the requirement must stay OE. This is not a bad thing to stick with the OE requirement unless you are looking a price... My take for this scenario, Stay with the specified fluid and don't try to experiment.

8mm Hex or Allen wrench

Drain pan is a must.
