I often head out on my own because of my free-lancer schedule. If the sun is out mid-day I can make the decision to ride my bicycle and work later. On some days the time is there but the motivation isn't. I find that I still enjoy a solo ride to a point - but the longer rides tend to get boring for me without a purpose.
