The North American Honey Bee Expo takes place in Louisville, KY. Beekeepers gather to network, learn from experts, and engage with industry-leading vendors.

Dr. Spivak was one of the distinguished speakers at the 2024 NAHBE. She is an American entomologist, and Distinguished McKnight University Professor at the University of Minnesota specializing in apiculture and social insects.

Her work and research are incredibly valuable to the beekeeping community. Premier Bee Products has had the honor to utilize her propolis research and develop Propola.

The Propola hive body, with its roughened interior walls, restores the natural propolis envelope inside the Langstroth hive — giving bees the natural habitat they know and need.

Since their origins, honey bees have been enveloping their nests with a natural substance called propolis. Research has shown that this propolis envelope is a critical part of the colony’s natural defense against disease.
