Regional Development Minister Kristy McBain says there is “no doubt” there is a big market across Asia for Australian beef products.

Beef Week 2024 has officially kicked off in Rockhampton.

“We need to make sure that we’ve got a cooperative and conductive relationship with China and with Asia more broadly,” Ms McBain said.

“That means that also we have got to stand up for our national interests when and where we have to.

“We disagree where we must but we will always stand up for our national security.”
