The Dawn Trailer, released 04 August 2015, is a trailer released at GamesCom 2015. A second, updated version of the trailer—labeled Dawn 2.0—was released on 17 September 2015 at the Tokyo Game Show (   • 【Final Fantasy XV】 Dawn 2.0 Trailer -...  ).

The original Dawn Trailer takes place fifteen years before the main game. It represents the unbreakable bond that five-year-old Noctis has with his father, King Regis. Regis must face difficult decisions surrounding the growing war between Lucis, the Niflheim Empire, and the coming darkness.
