Country music legend Loretta Lynn died peacefully in her sleep on October 4. During her 60-year musical career, Lynn was a forceful voice for women. From her first hit song in 1960, “I’m a Honky Tonk Girl,” the trailblazer sang about the daily struggles of working-class women.
