Amateur radio transmitter caried by a weather balloon. It reached a peak altitude of 95,700 feet during a 2.7 hour flight. Landed in the ocean about halfway between Oceanside, CA and Catalina Island. The signal continued to be received until the batteries died, many hours after splashdown.
