On March 14, 2024 there was a slight risk of severe storms across Indiana and into western Ohio. That morning we had a line of storms push through the region and afterward created a capping inversion. Later that afternoon the atmosphere had recovered substantially and it became evident that there was severe weather brewing. Around 5pm we began to witness the first signs of the cap breaking north of Farmland, Indiana. Supercells began exploding across central Indiana and moving quickly east toward Ohio. Once the supercells made it to the border well that’s when the show got started.
