In 2015 we started to put 8 GoPro cameras on the MIG-29 during the flight by the decision of the client. 2 in the pilot's cockpit, 3 in the backseaters cockpit, and three outside. In 2017 we put also a 360-degree cam in addition to those.

This view here shows a flight to the Edge of Space to starboard (means to the right side, or in aviation language "3 o'clock").

Also, in this video, the barrel-distortion of the 170-degree wide-angle lens (what some are describing as a fish-eye lens) is corrected to the normal view.

After take-off, the jet is moving first to an altitude of 12,000 metres. Then the afterburners are used to get more speed to Mach 1,7 and then the climb begins. The max altitude is to see in relation to temperatures in the atmosphere, the temperature of the fuel and the total weight.

On the way back to base Pilot Sergei Kara is showing his backseater, Jez, some aerobatic maneuvres and you will hear both of them talking the whole time.



Flights at Sokol stopped unfortunately in September 2017, we flew our clients since 2006 there.
