The overwhelming majority of people today, even in our liberality obsessed world, are opposed to the idea of trans women competing in sports with women, and rightly so. There is simply undeniable proof that men have massive advantages in strength, speed, endurance, and every other physical front over women, and so physical competitions, in order to preserve fairness and safety, ought to be kept separated by sex.

Given these disparities and their popular recognition, why is it the case that so many still try to defend the idea of trans women competing against women in sports? What motivates someone do defend a stance which is so seemingly indefensible?
