Manchester City is currently under investigation by an independent commission for alleged breaches of the Premier League's Financial rules.
The club is accused of providing inaccurate financial information, a violation of the competition's rules.
Between the 2009, 2010 season of the 2017 2018 campaign in 2020 ruled that city committed serious breaches of financial fair play regulations and imposed a two year ban from european club Competitions, which was later overturned.
In light of these allegations, Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has stated that he will resign from his post if his employers have lied to him about the financial rule breaches.
