I've been going to Las Vegas every few years since childhood and the experience has progressively changed as I've gotten older. As a kid, it was all about circus and magic shows. As an adult, it's about craps and gin and tonics. This time, I went with an old group of friends for When We Were Young Festival, the annual emo music festival that takes place in the middle of the strip. We had a few days to kill before the show and we hit up the famous Taco Bell Cantina for some boozy Baja Blasts--it was delicious of course. I lost about 40 bucks at a roulette table and got 20,000 steps in each day. I was also surprised to see the construction being done on the strip for the upcoming F1 race--they truly tore up the strip to build massive grand stands in the middle of it all which caused a lot of traffic if you could imagine. Many of the locals I talked to aren't so happy about it.
