This talk explores how and why Earth's intelligence appears to be accelerating into an ever faster, smaller, denser, smarter, wealthier, and more resilient future. We are engaged in a "Race to Inner Space," in two ways: 1) creating simulations and thoughts (Virtual Inner Space) that increasingly capture and exceed physical reality and 2) building ever more efficient, miniaturized, localized, and dense computing and action environments (Physical Inner Space, aka "STEM compression"). These special environments outcompete all other locations for thinking, feeling, and doing all our creative evolutionary experiments.

Because of the great advantages of Inner Space we may be developmentally destined to inhabit increasingly black-hole-like environments as civilization continues its amazing advances. Our destiny is density.

I look forward to more critique, independent validation, and better formulation of this perspective by others in coming years. If it's true, there are huge insights to be gained for us here with regard to our future. Look forward to your comments.
