Making new fields with the CAT 963. This spot on the farm used to be a soybean field a very long time ago. Due to erosion from poor farming practices, they stopped using the ground for growing and let it grow up in trees. The poor fertility led to these thick virginia pines taking root.

The project in this video is about removing those pines to make a future field. Key to this was creating a field that matched the contours of the land and left some standing hardwoods to help prevent future erosion like the field had in its past. I also immediately planted the clearing to help get vegetation on the ground. Hopefully, we can restore this spot to its former use. Hope you all enjoy it!
