UPDATE from Cooler Master on battery life: The CK721 has the same power consumption thus have same working hours under 2.4GHz and Bluetooth mode due to below reason:
Although the keyboard in 2.4G mode has 1000Hz report rate, the keyboard key scan time is 6 ms(fastest), plus pressing the key "press" & "release" and the switch travel, it may take up to 10 ms. So The RF IC receives the keyboard MCU data, and the time to send it again is already 6 ms + RF processing time, so it is not much different from the Bluetooth standard sending method of 8 ms. Therefore, there isn’t big difference in power consumption(working hours) in 2.4GHz mode and BT mode.
