March 6th is the anniversary of the final assault on the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas. To honor those who lost their lives on that day in 1836, we put together a short music video. The music chosen to record for the video is “El Degüello.” The first tune is the original, historical Spanish bugle call used to commence the battle. The second melody is the tune composed by Dmitri Tiomkin for use in the John Wayne movies “The Alamo’’ and “Rio Bravo.” The music, along with the images of the battle and its aftermath, combine to leave a lasting impression of the violence that occurred that dark day in March 1836.
