Dog Cake Recipe
+ 2 cups of almond flour
+ 1 teaspoon of baking soda
+1/4 cup of organic coconut oil
+ 1/2 cup of organic creamy peanut butter (Make sure the peanut butter DOES NOT contain xylitol, its super harmful to dogs)
+ 1 cup of organic unsweetened applesauce
+ 1 cup of organic pumpkin puree
+ 2 eggs

Dog Frosting
+ 2 cups of non fat plain greek yogurt
+ 2 tablespoons of peanut butter (add more for a thicker texture and stronger peanut butter flavor)
+ 8-10 strawberries for strawberry puree (pink frosting)

✨R E C I P E
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Prepare pans for cake batter. Melt about 2 tablespoons of coconut oil in the microwave for about 20 seconds or until melted. Grab three 6” pans and a silicone brush to brush the coconut oil along the inside and edges of each of the pans to the grease the pans. Set pans aside.
3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the almond flour and baking soda and set aside.
4. In a large bowl, mix together coconut oil, peanut butter, applesauce, pumpkin puree, and eggs. Using a spatula, fold in almond flour mixture into wet mixture little by little, until both are fully combined.
5. Using a scooper, pour an even amount of the batter into each of the 6” pan.
6. Bake for 30 minutes. Let cool. Swipe a butter knife along the edges of the pans to loosen the cakes from the pan.
7. Use a large ziplock bag to frost each layer each cake layer with your doggy frosting. Once you have frosted and stacked each cake layer, top with some adorable dog biscuits or a cake topper! (Our dog loved the biscuits!)

Dog Frosting
1. For Pink frosting: In a food processor, blend 8-10 strawberries until a thick puree like texture is formed. (Keep in mind you can also use a blender to puree your fruits. If you would prefer not to color your frosting, simply combine the greek yogurt with the peanut butter for a creamy frosting that will match the cake beautifully as well.)
2. In a medium bowl, mix together 2 cups of greek yogurt, 2 tablespoons of peanut butter, and about 10 tablespoons of the strawberry puree.
3. In a medium bowl, mix together greek yogurt, peanut butter and strawberry until you get your desired pink shade.
