I visited the Fort Germanna Visitor Center in March of 2022. This is located in Locust Grove, VA. Fort Germanna was built in 1714 at the order of Virginia Lieutenant Governor Spotswood. Virginia Lieutenant Governor Spotswood later built his residence (the Enchanted Castle) at the site of Fort Germanna. The visitor Center includes an Archeological center.
