In this video, we are going to fix the mistake of a contractor who made a huge mistake installing the customer’s new red oak hardwood floor. We were hired simply to do some patches and fix some gaps on a hardwood floor one of our customers had installed. When we got there and began to work on the floor, we noticed some concerning things were going on with the red oak planks. They were moving all around and had massive gaps. It’s at this point we realized the previous contractor had forgotten to do something extremely important.

We then fix the hardwood floor, sand it, and finish it to be as good as new, leaving this red oak hardwood to install in tip-top shape. We also go over a few other informational items in this video like trowel filling the gaps in a wood floor, applying stain, and what varnish/ finish products we use.

The customer was very happy with the final wood floor that we stained special walnut and coated with a satin water-based finish.
