Reuters reported a few weeks ago that Tesla is working on Project Highland to redesign the Model 3 to engineer the manufacturing process which go into production in Q2 or Q3 of 2023. The production for this new design will start at two Tesla factories: Giga Shanghai and Giga Fremont in California.

So Tesla is Re-designing its most popular and safest EV, the model 3. Model 3 is going through complete engineering to change the structure, and casting to use fewer components to improve manufacturing efficiency to reduce production costs.
