James Last ist und bleibt einer meiner absoluten musikalischen Vorbilder, und sein "Einsamer Hirte" bzw. "The Lonely Shepherd" gehört sicher zu seinen erfolgreichsten Kompositionen. Das Stück hat es sogar nach Hollywood in den Soundtrack von Quentin Tarantinos "Kill Bill" geschafft!
Um das sehr akzentuierte von Georges Zamfir auf der Panflöte zu imitieren, habe ich die Standard-Panflöte der Orgel etwas editiert und u.a. ein stärkeres Aftertouch Vibrato hinzugefügt. Es wird ein Werksstyle aus dem SEMPRA 2.0 Pool verwendet, den ich für diesen Titel ebenfalls etwas angepasst habe. Allerdings spielen aus dem Style nur Schlagzeug und eine Gitarre. Die übrigen Gitarren-Strummings sind live auf dem Untermanual gespielt.
Beim dritten Melodiedurchlauf (nach dem Streicherpart) kommt die Manual-Koppelfunktion der Orgel hinzu, mit der begleitenden Streicher (vom mittleren Manual) mit auf die Gitarren des Untermanuals geschaltet werden.

In order to imitate the very accentuated panflute playing of Gheorghe Zamfir, I have edited the standard organ panflute a bit and added, among other things, a stronger aftertouch vibrato. A factory style from the SEMPRA 2.0 pool is used, which I also adapted a bit for this track. However, only drums and a guitar play from the style. The remaining guitar strummings are played live )on the submanual) - like everything else!
On the third melody run (after the strings part) the manual coupling function of the organ is added, with which accompanying strings (from the middle manual) are switched to the guitars of the lower manual as well.
