Ninja Foodi lasagna is delicious! No more turning the oven on to brown the mozzarella cheese on top. This lasagna is made with a meat sauce but you can leave meat out and add veggies-if you want. This is a NF 101 class for those who have not made lasagna in an instant pot or Ninja Foodi.
Oh and you don't have to worry about aluminum foil getting sucked up in fan-because we are using the pressure function.:)

Lasagna recipe
1/2 Lb. ground beef/hamburger
1/2 Lb. Italian sausage-ground(not in the casing)
1 Box oven ready lasagna Noodles
1 Jar favorite sauce
15 oz. ricotta cheese
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 egg
1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
1 Tbsp fresh parsley chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper
3/4 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
1/2-3/4 cup mozzarella cheese for top of lasagna

1. Select sear/saute on Ninja Foodi and let warm up. When warmed up add ground beef and ground Italian sausage, cook until done. Use a wooden spoon to break up ground beef and sausage into small pieces.
2. When done remove from Ninja Foodi and place into another bowl. Add jar of sauce and stir to combine. Clean Ninja Foodi bowl and place back into ninja Foodi.(make sure Ninja foodi is off)
3. In another bowl combine ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, parsley, salt, pepper, mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese. Mix well. Set aside.
4. Take your & inch springform pan and place a layer of lasagna noodles. You can break the noodles to make them fit and it is ok to overlap. Next spread a layer of the meat mixture, then spread a layer of cheese mixture. repeat this process, you will have three layers of meat sauce and two layers of cheese mixture. You can sprinkle a little mozzarella cheese on top but reserve some for the broiling at the end.
5. Take a piece of parchment paper and cover lasagna, then cover with aluminum foil.
6. place 1 1/2 cups of water into Ninja Foodi bowl. you can use the enclosed trivet that came with the Ninja Foodi or use a silicone trivet and place springform pan/lasagna onto trivet and place in Ninja Foodi.
7. Put on pressure lid, make sure it is set to seal. Turn on Ninja Foodi, press pressure-it defaults to HI, set time for 25 minutes. At the end of the 25 minutes do a natural release for 10 minutes.
8. After natural release of 10 minutes, do a manual release. When red button drops then it is safe to remove pressure lid. make sure to open it away from you as there will be a lot od steam. Also watch for dripping water from pressure lid.Set lid to the side.
9. Remove foil from lasagna, sprinkle remaining mozzarella cheese on top and broil for about 5 minutes or til your liking. I have found that you don't have to remove water if you don't want to at this time, it does not affect broil function.
10. When to desired liking/browning/ melting of cheese, remove lasagna from Ninja Foodi and let sit on trivet for 15-20 minutes before removing the springform sides. During this time you can make garlic bread in your Ninja Foodi. the lasagna will leak a little bit, you can place a sheet pan under lasagna this will catch the liquid.
11. Remove sides of springform pan, serve and enjoy!
