Renault is about to reinvent its innovative Scenic MPV as a family-friendly all-electric SUV. To give us all an idea of how it might look, the French firm has unveiled the Scenic Vision - a concept car that features a carbon footprint that is claimed to be 75 per cent less than a conventional electric car.

The new model will sit above the new electric Megane E-Tech in the range and is slightly larger than a Nissan Qashqai. Although the concept version is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell, the final production model will be powered by the same battery and motors as the new Megane E-Tech. The inside is exceptionally spacious with family-friendly features which hark back to the original 1991 Scenic.
