El 31 de diciembre de 2022, Maluma le dijo adiós a Papi Juancho y le dió la bienvenida a su nuevo alter ego, Don Juan. Ya lejos de ser aquel chico juguetón que conocimos en “Felices Los 4”, en la piel de Don Juan se nos presenta un hombre sofisticado, que ha corrido el mundo con cognac en mano. “El es una versión de mi; una versión de Juan Luis más madura, con los piés en la tierra”, dijo Maluma a ET. “Diría que [Don Juan] es más ambicioso, con metas grandes. Todo lo de la familia y los animales, eso todavía está ahí. No es que me voy a convertir en idiota o algo así. Todavía soy un buen ser humano, no se preocupen”. Como una amalgama de todas sus personalidades, ‘Don Juan’ es un álbum repleto de colaboraciones con Carin León, Marc Anthony, Anuel AA y Yandel que recorren toda la gama de géneros latinos, desde el regional mexicano hasta salsa y reggaeton. “Don Juan es mágico”, dijo el cantante a Billboard. “Es divertido, moderno, y muy sentimental. Esa es la vibra que estoy viviendo ahora mismo. Es música para disfrutar la vida”. Maluma pasó por el estudio de Vevo en Los Ángeles para cantar cuatro canciones en vivo de su nuevo disco ‘Don Juan’. En la tarima de Studio la estrella presentó en vivo “Humedad” y “Hace Un Mes” y en la tarima de ctrl, el medallo encendió el recinto en fuego con “Los Polvos” y “Balance”.

Far from the playful jokester that we met in “Felices los 4,” Don Juan is a more sophisticated guy –a man who has traveled the world with cognac in hand. “He is a version of me, a version of Juan Luis, more mature, more grounded,” Maluma told an interviewer. “I would say more ambitious with bigger goals. All the family things and the animal stuff, it's still there. It's not that I am going to become a douche bag or something like that. I am still a good human being, no worries.” Amalgamating the superstar’s personalities, ‘Don Juan’ is an album full of collaborations with Carin Leon, Marc Anthony, Anuel AA and Yangel, that run the gamut of Latin genres, from regional Mexican to salsa and reggaeton. “Don Juan is magical. It’s fun, modern and still very sentimental,” Maluma told Billboard. “That’s the vibe that I’m living right now. It’s music to enjoy life.” Maluma stopped by Vevo’s studio in Los Angeles to film four live performances of songs from his new album ‘Don Juan.’ On the Studio stage, the superstar performed live “Humedad” and “Hace Un Mes”, and on the ctrl stage, the Medellin-native set the place ablaze with “Los Polvos” and “Balance.”
