Walter's Bio:
Walter De Brouwer (WDB) has established several AI and deep tech companies (1990-now), 2 of which have undergone public offerings in Europe (LSE, Euronext) and 2 in the USA (NYSE, NASDAQ). His latest AI company merged with Atlanta-based ShareCare [NASDAQ: SHCR] and went IPO at a valuation of $3.9B (July 2, 2021). At Sharecare he serves as the Chief Scientific Officer.

WDB holds a PhD in computational semiotics and has been a professor at Stanford University since 2018 where he is the course director of MED-205. He is an active contributor and beta tester of Generative AI projects, LLMs and Agent architectures. His research interests are in Multimodal Transformers, AGI, GPT agents and 6G. He is the author of 53 patents.

WDB is a General Partner at Claritas Capital (Nashville, since January 2022), a $1B PE fund where he runs the Media and Entertainment (Claritas M&E) sector.

Walter De Brouwer is a member of the Recording Academy (Grammy’s), a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the American Mathematical Society (AMS) and the Army and Navy Officers Club of Washington, D.C. He resides with his family in Malibu, CA.
