Welcome to EZ Overlander and our first mini overland vacation where Nancy and I attempt to record video with the intent to catalog and share it on YOUTUBE. Bare with us as we learn the skills needed to make better overland videos.

On this overland trip we start video recording in Duluth Minnesota and head up the North Shore on Highway 61. We make a variety of stops along the way as we head towards Grand Marais. What is normally a two hour drive took us over six hours.

As we traveled along Highway 61 we stopped at Tom’s Logging Camp, various scenic views, Split Rock Lighthouse, a few eateries, and more.

In Grand Marais we met up with my mother and older sister and proceeded up the Gunflint Trail for East Bearskin Campground. They stayed with us for most of the duration of our trip.

We spend the next few days exploring up and down the Gunflint trail, making coffee, cooking good meals, and enjoying nature.

This was our first overland trip in our new Jeep Gladiator and it was a learning experience, but we are now more confident than ever the Gladiator will serve is well on future overland trips.
