Rotimi talks House Party, Ghost, 50 Cent, Sex Symbol, On Screen Fight+More

Funny Marco welcomes Olurotimi Akinosho, known professionally as Rotimi, an American actor and singer. He is known for his role as Darius Morrison on the Starz series “Boss,” and as Andre Coleman on “Power.”

In this episode Marco gets into the interview immediately but messes up Rotimi’s name and Rotimi is not going for it. Marco asks about what Rotimi has coming up which brings on the discussion of his new song “Throwback” and new movie House Party. A puzzled Marco asks Rotimi is he confused about his career because of the back and forth from music to acting. Rotimi vehemently defends his actions by saying he can do both and has been successful. Marco then asks why didn’t Rotimi listen to “Ghost.” Rotimi seems annoyed and questions the validity of the question. Marco continues the random questions including, “is cereal considered soup?” and what Rotimi likes to cook. Rotimi reveals that there is darkness in the industry and how he deals with it. The questions continue as Marco digs deeper into Rotimi’s character and the production crew pipes in on how it is hard to compete with a sex symbol. It becomes heated as Rotimi comments on one of the crew’s spouses. Marco diverts the conversation and talks about Rotimi doing possible features with Wale and Summer Walker. Rotimi agrees with Marco that some good features would be with Lizzo and Justin Bieber. Marco then takes the interview to how Rotimi is an influencer. Rotimi also comments on 50 Cent being kind and a marketing genius. Rotimi talks about his singles and being underrated as a musical artist. Random questions continue as Marco reads off a question that the producer has written saying to end the interview because Rotimi is a sex symbol. The producer defends himself and Rotimi addresses the producer’s spouse and she in turn addresses Rotimi. All hell starts to break loose as the crew member and staff seem frazzled by the tension and start to argue with Marco. Rotimi tells Marco off the mic he should fire the producer and the confrontation gets even more heated as the producer and Rotimi have a very awkward moment and things don’t seem to get better.
