Hunting wild mushrooms in Tennessee is not something we have done often, but I've grown an affinity for these delicious wild edibles. After recent rains, the conditions seem just right for spotting some wild edible mushrooms. From the dried-up creek to the lush fields, we explore every nook and cranny, sharing tidbits about the local flora and fauna. While we mention chicken mushrooms and hint at the elusive morel mushrooms, the journey is as much about the experience as it is about the find. Whether you're a seasoned forager or, like me, just curious about wild mushrooms like oyster mushrooms, turkey tail mushrooms, and other fungi, this video offers a glimpse into the beauty and mystery of nature.

Follow along as we explore and learn to build a homestead in middle Tennessee. In 2016 we packed up our three kids and decided to leave suburban life in order to rediscover our love of outdoors, and learn the necessary skills to build a homestead from scratch.
