Starting a photography business can be an excellent way to turn your passion into a career. Korbin and Whitney Korzan did just that when they founded Mile High Productions, a photography and videography company that has worked with big-name clients like the HGTV show House Hunters.

Korbin started Mile High Productions as a side hustle in 2015, out of a passion for both photography and flying drones. By the end of his first year, he quit his day job in banking to be a full-time entrepreneur.

With his wife Whitney on the team, Mile High Productions expanded its focus to include real estate, commercial marketing, and events like weddings. This focus on growth has paid off, and Mile High has more than doubled its income every year since it opened.

Anyone who’s curious how to start a photography business needs to watch this video. In the interview, we’ll talk to Korbin about his profit margins and how he’s grown his revenue to more than $35K each month. He’ll also share how he lands high-profile clients and which of his services has proven the most profitable.

Korbin and Whitney plan to reach $1 million in sales by 2022. They’ve recently expanded their team to meet that goal, hiring their first employees. We’ll find out how Korbin knew it was time to expand, and what process he used to hire top-tier talent.
