This is the film that started it all for me. I purchased the Panasonic DVX100A and dropped out of my Masters program at UCCS to make this. Rich Purnell climbing in Glenwood Canyon on a mixed route called "Alcatraz". This was the first video I made which I submitted to the main mountain film festivals at the time (which wasn't a lot) and it got into them all. It was that moment I knew this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I wasn't sure I would ever make any money doing it and I still question that at times but when I started that wasn't the intent. It was to have fun and film my friends climbing. There wasn't a lot of climbing videos out at the time and I wanted to change that.
