Netflix’s series YOU has taken the streaming world by storm becoming one of the most-watched series on the platform ever - and it’s really no surprise when they have Penn Badgley as their leading man. Joe Goldberg has charmed and spooked us while simultaneously putting viewers' stomachs in knots all in one episode. But - what we want to know is how Penn was able to pull this off? What did YOU really look like behind the scenes and how much prep went into bringing this chilling story to life?

While the behind the scenes of a television show is drastically different from the final product we see on our screens, that didn’t stop the cast of YOU from being seriously creeped out by Penn as Joe and having to film in some unideal sets that triggered some major anxieties. Actors like Victoria Pedretti and Shalita Grant didn’t hold back when it came to sharing their experiences and it’ll have you wondering just how they were able to pull off multiple seasons of this show in the end.

YOU faced a ton of challenges from originally being canceled, having to take major safety precautions and training courses, and then dealing with filming and adjusting the script to what the COVID-19 pandemic would allow-ready to find out how they were able to overcome it all?

It’s hard to believe that YOU was this close to never even making it onto the streaming platform in the first place.
