FAI Medical Director Dr. Alan Byrne has been honoured with the FAI Special Merit Award as part of the 32nd FAI International Awards.

Dr. Byrne recently stepped down from his role as Team Doctor for the Ireland Men's Senior Team after over 200 games in a career spanning 20 years.
