Das wunderschöne Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort & Spa Hotel in Zusammenschnitten hier in einem Video. Es befindet sich im sonnigen Süden von Gran Canaria direkt an der Strandpromenade von Meloneras und dem Lopesan Boulevard. In der Nähe sind auch die tollen Dünen von Maspalomas und der Faro. Unbedingt morgens zum Sonnenaufgang an den Strand gehen.

Wir waren schon öfters im Schwesterhotel Lopesan Villa del Conde, aber nun mussten wir nach der Renovierung auch das Costa Meloneras einmal besuchen. Und es hat sich gelohnt. Es ist kein „normales" Hotel, sondern eher ein hübscher großer Palast mit einem tropischen Garten auf ca. 76.000 m² Fläche. Es erinnert an das Iberostar Bavaro in der Dominikanischen Republik vom Garten her.

Über 800 Palmen in ca. 100 verschiedenen Arten findet man hier optisch umgeben wie von einer Seenlandschaft und einem Infinity-Pool - dem großen Lago. Es sind aber 4 Süßwasserpools, 4 Whirlpools, Privatpools am Zimmer, ein künstlicher Strand und eine Privat-Insel für exklusive Unique-Gäste .

Die normalen Deluxe-Zimmer sind modern und sehr sauber. Es gibt keine Zimmerschlüssel oder Karten mehr, sondern ein praktisches Armband mit einem Transponder integriert. Dieses dient auch zum Bezahlen auf Rechnung. Man sollte unbedingt eine Kreditkarte beim Checkin hinterlegen. Über die Lopesan Web App / Website kann man sich über das kostenlose WiFi/ WLAN informieren, Reservierungen und mehr vorgenommen werden.

Kritik darf aber auch erlaubt sein:
Es wurden zwei Restaurants bei der Renovierung zusammengelegt. Es ist dafür dann einfach zu voll an den Buffet-Tresen der hübschen Themenbereichen wie Corral, Fresh Fruits, Salads, Asia, Pan, BBQ,..

Es gibt dadurch Streß und Gerangel am Buffet, weil die Bereiche nur von einer Seite anlaufbar sind. Das ist sehr schlecht gelöst. Wie auch immer, das Frühstück und Abendessen im Hauptrestaurant Alameda war wirklich hervorragend und abwechslungsreich. Nur das Anstehen vor dem Restauranteingang und am Buffet ist sehr schlecht unmgesetzt. Vielleicht wird dieses zeitnah noch geändert und optimiert.

Vielleicht sollte man das Hotel nur mit Frühstück buchen und dann außerhalb zum Essen gehen. Restaurants gibt es genügend in der Nähe. Auch die Lautstärke der täglichen Live-Musik bis 23:00 Uhr im Innenhof sollte man bei der Zimmerwahl bedenken.

The beautiful Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort & Spa Hotel in compilations here in a video. It is located in the sunny south of Gran Canaria, right on the Meloneras beach promenade and Lopesan Boulevard. Also nearby are the amazing dunes of Maspalomas and the Faro. Definitely go to the beach in the morning at sunrise.

We have stayed at the sister hotel Lopesan Villa del Conde before, but now after the refurbishment we had to visit the Costa Meloneras as well. And it was worth it. It is not a normal hotel, but rather a beautiful large palace with a tropical garden of 76,000 m². It is reminiscent of the Iberostar Bavaro in the Dominican Republic from the garden.

More than 800 palm trees of around 100 different species can be found here, visually surrounded by a lake landscape and an infinity pool - the large Lago. But there are 4 freshwater pools, 4 whirlpools, private pools in the room, an artificial beach and a private island for exclusive Unique guests.

The regular deluxe rooms are modern and very clean. There are no more room keys or cards, but a practical wristband with an integrated transponder. This is also used to pay on account. You should definitely deposit a credit card at check-in. The Lopesan web app/website can be used to find out about the free WiFi/WLAN, make reservations and more.

But criticism is also allowed:
The dinner times are not appropriate. Two restaurants were probably merged during the renovation, regulars told us. It's just too crowded for that at the buffet counters in the pretty themed areas such as Corral, Fresh Fruits, Salads, Asia, Pan, BBQ,…

Unfortunately, there is stress and scrambling at the buffet because the areas can only be approached from one side. This is very badly resolved. However, the breakfast and dinner at the main restaurant, Alameda, was really excellent and varied. Only the queuing in front of the restaurant entrance and at the buffet is very poorly implemented. Maybe this will be changed and optimized in the near future.

Maybe you should only book the hotel with breakfast and then go out to eat / for dinner.
