The Honda Transalp 750 may be the most controversial ADV bike I've ever ridden and reviewed. Depending on who you ask, the XL750 Transalp is either a decent off road bike that's great on the street or a completely worthless pavement princess that's likely to explode if the tires ever touch gravel.

Many of us looked at the initial Transalp 750 information that came out when it was announced and jumped to a ton of conclusions. Our initial Honda Transalp 750 review, based solely on pictures and statistics, was pessimistic at best.

Now that I've ridden the bike for a few months it's time for an honest Honda Transalp 750 1000 Mile Review. This bike is not what we thought it was, but that's not at all a bad thing. It's very fun on the street and perfectly capable off road as long as you're not planning on doing the most heinous of terrain. I've tested the Transalp 750 off road on singletrack trails and in the snow and it's been great so far.
