By Tamas Ulrich. (Anyway, the WR is 3:11.254, by Leonardo Grandis.)

The simulator: GPL, aka Grand Prix Legends from Papyrus, is a simulator originally released in 1998, but later improved with many, many more graphical and other updates, and which modeled the 1967 Formula 1 season. Wiki:

The circuit: the old Spa, as it was until 1978: without Rivage, Pouhon, Les Fagnes and Bus Stop, but with Burnenville (0:44), one of the fastest corners ever, with the infamous Masta Kink (1:29), the fastest and therefore most dangerous chicane ever, and with the also lightning-fast La Carriére (2:12), at that time still 14.1 km long between the towns of Francorchamps, Malmédy and Stavelot resp. the mountains of the Ardennes, so in the image of such a hyper-fast race track on which even the smallest mistake, the smallest leaving the track could lead to a huge accident. Assembling one hotlap and competing here is a huge challenge even in a simulator, but how big it must have been in real life!
one more important difference to today's track: back then the start/finish line was after La Source, not before!!! (That is: Eau Rouge comes right away in the video, and La Source only comes at the very end.)
