This video is a guide on how to auto roast using artisan.
Added notes:
IMPORTANT: to control the roaster you must turn PID ON, I did not mention this important info in the video. You should have a button setting marked “PID ON”
Background file: true background file is a previous roast, the file would be “.alog”. Which would be a previous roast you liked and saved, or maybe one that someone shared with you. It’s important keep all your roasting files organized, i have all my alog files in one folder. Only keeping the ones i wish to follow or duplicate.
Terminology:
BT - Bean Temp (a probe in the machine measure the bean temperature mass. I personally roast following BT)
SV - Set Value (the sniper will use this option to follow the max temp the roaster will go up to, I start my SV at 186, which is my pre heat and charge temp, I let the roaster pre heat for approximately 20 mins before I charge. Before hit start i increased my SV to 230C. If this SV is not increase the machine will not go higher than 186. As i was shooting the vid the charge temp went about 10 degrees above what was my preferred at 186C
TP - Turning point, is when the beans start to rise in temperature.

The last segment reviews the various settings.

Lastly, please be gentle, this is only my third video ever, eventually I will get better at it. If you have any questions please ask.
