After the massive success of Marvel’s Spider-Man, it was obvious that Insomniac would want to follow up with a sequel. But what wasn’t as expected was the development of a sort of mid-quel to launch simultaneously with the PS5, Spider-Man: Miles Morales. And though the game is quite a bit shorter than its predecessor, it’s once again a perfect Spider-Man story, letting us experience Miles’ first major outing as Spider-Man, and setting the stage for the sequel. Spider-Man Miles Morales might not be as robust as Insomniac’s first Spidey game, but it packs a massive emotional punch and gives us a more intimate, street level experience as Spider-Man learns the ropes. It may venom shock you to learn that I adore Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and today I’m gonna tell you exactly why.
