Following on from a calendar of successful events in 2023, the Collecting Cars team in Australia kicked off the 2024 season with its biggest ever Coffee Run in Australia – supported by a fantastic line-up of partners.

Taking place at the famous Rosehill Gardens Racecourse in Sydney, the event saw Chris Harris and founder Edward Lovett joining forces with the team on the ground to welcome thousands of enthusiasts who turned out for the morning. The overwhelming response did mean delays getting into the event and even tailbacks on the motorway, but the team greatly appreciates the patience and response from guests.

A huge number of cars attended – estimated at more than 2,000 – including some truly sensational vehicles such as a McLaren Senna GTR (coming soon to Private Sales), Lamborghini Diablo Roadster, and a Ferrari 550 Barchetta (set to be auctioned on the platform). It was hard to find a major make or model not represented among the guests, with even Chris Harris remarking that it was perhaps the most remarkable mix of cars he’d ever seen at a Collecting Cars Coffee Run.

Priceless classics shared space with incredible custom machines, as well as the latest supercars, and of course a host of home-built favourites from Holden. There were Mercedes and Minis, Porsches and Lancias, and a great turnout of Japanese modern classics. Numerous visitors brought our auction success stories to life, including a Porsche 997 Turbo that had previously found a new home on the Collecting Cars platform.

We would like to thank everyone who came to the event, especially those who experienced delays getting into the Coffee Run. We also want to extend a special note of gratitude to the organisations and businesses who partnered with us for this event, including; Gulf Oil, Grenadier Sydney, St Cobes, Gyeon Sydney, Terry Shields Toyota, Shannons Insurance, Duck and Whale, OMG Donuts, and Eurospec Diecast Models.

It is enthusiasts who help to make these gatherings such a success, and our team was amazed by the response from all the attendees. We loved seeing such an incredible depth and breadth of Sydney’s motoring community out in force, and we hope you will join us at other Australia events later in 2024!
