Rondo caps his Mavericks career in embarrassing fashion in front of a national audience.

In all my years following sports, I had never seen such a high profile player quit on his team in such a meaningful game. With all to play for, he simply checked out on his coach, the organization and more importantly... on his teammates. Not only is he a coward, but considering this is a guy that has millions on the line with his upcoming free agency... saying he is an idiot is a big understatement.

With his team needing his best game more than ever, the "mythical" 'playoff Rondo' threws in a half hearted effort, commits silly fouls, gifts free throws and a technical and is finally yanked out of the game.

And out of the Mavs. For good.

In the two games against the Rockets, the Mavs were outscored by 36 points with Rondo on the floor. Yes, -36 when he was out there.

We'll never will have to see a point guard that is afraid of attacking, because he can't shoot free throws. We won't have to see a PG who passes up wide open shots. We won't have to play four against five on offense.

Rondo has obvious mental issues. For that reason, I will try not to think of him as the biggest piece of dirt I have seen on a Mavs shirt.

I didn't have high expectations for him, but to quit on the team in the playoffs is unforgivable. Whoever is dumb enough to sign him to a muli year deal, I wish them luck.

He's not the Mavs problem anymore.
