"I tried to get on the sled like ten times, but I couldn't get on because I couldn't use this arm," Garrett said in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. He underwent surgery at a shoulder specialist in Marin County on Friday and will return home to Hawaii in a couple days to begin the long rehab process.
