In this episode of In The Studio With... we explore the world of interdisciplinary artist and designer #YazXL as she shows us around her studio of curiosities including taxidermy hybrid seahorse sculptures, an animatronic goat baby made for @fkatwigs and the graduate collection dress worn by @Bjork

“Subverting nature in any way is kind of what gets me off,” she says of the through line of her work which spans diverse disciplines across fashion, fine art, special FX, and sculpture. All rooted in inspiration taken from the farmland she grew up surrounded by, her fixation on animal placentas, the patterns and colours found in nature have led to her surreal experiments with prosthetics, and collaborative projects with Alexander McQueen’s taxidermist Simon “The Stuffa” Wilson.
