Both headliners offer good sound deadening thickness at 1/2 inch . Quality is great on both.
Reason I went with BoomMat is it’s very highly reviewed online, was more flexible and lighter therefor easier to install. The back of it is fully taped so offers very good seal and shouldn’t peel away from roof. And finally to me visually the solid black and smoothness of the top layer just looked nicer.
